30A tour: miramar beach
A blend of laid-back coastal living and convenience, welcome to Miramar Beach.
There’s a gorgeous sameness about the beaches of the Emerald Coast—just one mile after another of soft quartz sand running alongside an aquamarine shoreline that appears aglow, lit from within. The communities that populate this realm, however, are a different matter altogether. All they have in common is their distinctiveness from one another.
The beach towns of the Emerald Coast are renowned for their distinctiveness from one another. Some offer Old Florida charm (think Grayton Beach); others have the feel of a world class, resort (think WaterColor and WaterSound). Still, others feature a blend of laid-back coastal living and convenience. Welcome to Miramar Beach.
incredible coastal eateries and extraordinary shopping are right out your backdoor. So are the world’s most beautiful beaches. At daybreak, head down to Bad Ass Coffee shop on Old Highway 98, where you’ll find the full spectrum of signature Hawaiian blends and gourmet American Kona. The atmosphere comes straight from the Big Island of Hawaii.
By mid-morning, the day warms up and it’s time to head out with family and friends for the perfect day at the beach. No matter where you are, the sugar–white sands and emerald green waters are never far away. On calm days you might want to rent a stand–up paddleboard or kayak. When the wind and waves pick up, it’s time for some body surfing. Beach apparel shops are abundant along Highway 98, as are local surf shops. For a more expansive shopping experience, head over to the Silver Sands Outlet stores on the north side of Highway 98. Here you’ll find nearly anything your heart desires among the 110 name-brand outlet stores.
Later in the day, it’s time to head out for cocktails and a bite to eat. A favorite among locals and visitors alike is the Whale’s Tail Beach Bar & Grill. Enjoy incredible seafood—from a basket of shrimp to a plate of grouper—in an atmospheric outdoor beachfront setting, along with a wide variety of beer, wine, and spirits.
After a day of fun, it’s time to head on home to share stories on the deck over sundowners—or maybe vacation movie night in the living room. Our Miramar Beach rental homes offer the best in comfort, style, and convenience, making this enclave between Destin and 30A the perfect escape for the vacation of a lifetime!
