The Peach Whiskey Sour is perfect as summer begins to wind down—and here’s why: the temperatures keep rising, but the countdown for the new school year has begun, and the hectic holiday season is right around the corner. Our Peach Whiskey Sour has summer flavors (peach and citrus) and a clean, smooth finish to remind you to slow down and enjoy these last few dog days of summer while you can.
Here at 360 Blue, we have cocktail aficionados who are ardent fans of adding egg whites to their recipes, and those who prefer a simpler bartending experience. If you’re feeling adventurous, give both a try and let us know which you prefer.
- 1 1/2 oz. Jim Beam
- 1 oz. Peachtree Schnapps
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 oz. simple syrup
- Optional Garnish: A peach slice
Combine all in an iced shaker
Give it a firm shake.
Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a peach
more advanced version
- 2 oz. Bourbon
- .75 oz. lemon juice
- .75 oz. peach simple syrup
- 3 drops of pecan bitters
- 1 egg white
- Ice (added later)
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, but do not add ice. This is called a dry shake and is used when making drinks that call for egg whites.
Give everything a couple of firm shakes and then add ice to your shaker then shake it again.
Strain it into a rocks glass and top with a dash of pecan bitters.
