Simple, elegant, and easy. The classic dirty martini is essential for any high-falutin dinner, or if you just want a fancy drink. It’s important to use quality alcohol when making a martini since the taste of vodka or gin can be overpowering, and it’s intended to be a stiff drink. However, you can liberally add as much olive brine as you would like to make the drink “dirtier” (saltier). The cocktail is best served in a chilled glass, so we recommend freezing the martini glass at least 15 minutes prior to serving. If you prefer your ‘tini James Bond style, shaken not stirred, make sure to vigorously shake with the ice before straining. To have it stir-style, simply combine the ingredients in the shaker and stir for approximately 20 seconds before straining and pouring into the glass. If you’re not a fan of olives, a twisted lemon peel is the other alternative to garnish a martini in its purest form.
